Goal

Hold a regular weekly pipeline meeting that touches every active deal, surfaces what’s stuck, and decides next steps. Keep it to 30 minutes.

What you’ll do

  1. Prepare a saved view filtered to active deals
  2. Switch to Board view for visual scanning
  3. Walk through deals column by column
  4. Capture decisions as notes and reminders

Step by step

1. Prepare a saved view

In your deal pipeline list, build a filter for Status is not ‘Closed Won’ or ‘Closed Lost’, sorted by deal value (largest first). Save it as “Active Pipeline”. For setting up saved views: How to customize saved views in your lists

2. Switch to Board view

Click the view toggle to switch from Sheet to Board view. Deals will be grouped by Status column — perfect for scanning what’s where. For Board view basics: Pipeline overview

3. Walk through the columns

Go left to right (early stage → late stage), pause on each deal, and ask:
  • Did anything change this week?
  • What’s blocking it from advancing?
  • Who owns the next step?

4. Capture decisions

For each deal:
  • Drag the card to a new column if the status changed
  • Add a note for any meaningful update
  • Set a reminder for the next checkpoint

Tips

  • Lock the saved view (Admin-only) so the team always sees the same filter
  • Use Status triggers to automate status changes when certain fields update — see How To Set Up Status Triggers
