New Lists is becoming the default Lists experience, rolling out to customers in stages. Most workflows are fully supported in New Lists — but you can switch an individual list back to Classic Lists anytime if you need a feature that isn’t in New Lists yet.

How to switch a list to Classic

  1. Open the list you want to switch.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right to open list options.
  3. Choose Switch to Classic to move that list back to the Classic experience.
The Switch to Classic option appears in list options only while the list is on the New Lists experience. You can switch back to New Lists the same way, and your choice is remembered for that list.

What to expect

  • Your data is safe and synced. Entries, edits, and field values stay consistent across both experiences — switching doesn’t move or lose any data.
  • Saved views are preserved. Views you saved using New Lists features (like advanced filters) are kept as variants, so your Classic version stays intact for teammates still on Classic. See the Saved Views in New Lists Reference.
  • We’ll ask why. When you switch a list back to Classic, we’ll ask a quick question about what’s missing. That feedback directly shapes which features we bring to New Lists next.

When you might switch to Classic

A few lower-usage Classic features aren’t in New Lists yet. Each has a workaround (see what’s not yet supported), but the most common reasons to use Classic for now are:
  • Bulk actions — bulk copy to list, bulk remove, bulk email, or bulk convert to opportunity.
  • Creating or editing trigger rules — existing triggers still run in New Lists, but setting up or changing them is done in Classic for now.
  • Inline filtering from a column header, or creating a dropdown or status option inline within a cell — each has a New Lists workaround.

Good to know

  • New Lists is rolling out in stages — if a list moves to the new experience, you’ll be notified, and you can always switch it back.
  • Classic Lists will be retired at the end of Q3 2026. The Classic-only features listed above will be available in New Lists before then, apart from bulk email — we’re still evaluating the best approach there. We’ll give clear notice ahead of the change.
