## Overview

Create highly targeted prospect lists by combining industry focus, funding criteria, and keyword searches. This workflow (only in New Lists) uses Boolean logic, text searching in notes, and numeric filtering to narrow the sourcing universe to the most relevant opportunities.

***

## Steps

### Scenario 1: Target companies with specific dual focus

1. Open your prospects or companies list.
2. Click **Filters** → **+ Add condition**.
3. **Industry** → **has all of** → Select "Biotech" AND "Cell Therapy"
4. **Sort by** → **Funding Amount** → **Low to high**
5. Click **Apply**.

### Scenario 2: Find early-stage companies across funding spectrum

1. Create a filter group: **Funding Amount** → **is less than** → **10000000** (10M) **OR** (click **+ Add condition)** → **Funding Amount** → **is empty**
2. **Sort by** → **Date Added** → **Newest first**
3. Click **Apply**.

### Scenario 3: Keyword search with ownership prioritization

1. Filter by keyword in notes:
2. **Notes → Content** → **contains** → \*\*generative AI \*\*
3. **Sort by** → **Owner** → **A to Z** (empty owners will appear last)
4. Add secondary sort: **Last Contact** → **Oldest first**
5. Click **Apply**.

## Expected Outcome

* **Scenario 1**: Companies focused exclusively on biotech AND cell therapy, sorted by funding stage
* **Scenario 2**: Early-stage prospects (sub-\$10M funding) plus unfunded companies, prioritized by newest additions
* **Scenario 3**: Companies mentioning "generative AI" in notes, with unowned prospects listed last for assignment

## Tips/Warnings

* Use **has all of** when you need companies that match ALL selected industry
  tags (AND logic).

* Use **has any of** when you want companies in ANY of the selected industries
  (OR logic).

* **Notes → Content** searches exclude replies and use word-level
  matching—"care" won't match "healthcare."

* **Funding Amount** empty values represent companies with unknown/undisclosed
  funding.

* Consider creating **Global** industry fields for consistent taxonomy across
  your sourcing lists.

* **Date Added** helps prioritize newly discovered companies in your sourcing
  pipeline.
