# Conducting searches in Affinity

> Help center reference

Conduct searches in Affinity to quickly find the person, organization, opportunity, or list that you're looking for.

## Viewing Company Data in Search Results

**As of January 2026, search results show company data even for companies not yet in your network.**

When you click on a company from search results, you'll see:

**For org-relevant companies** (companies in your firm's network):

* Full enrichment data including Affinity Data, Dealroom, Crunchbase, and PitchBook (based on your subscriptions)
* Full interaction history with your firm
* Can add to Lists, create Opportunities, add Notes

**For out-of-network companies** (companies not yet in your network):

* Affinity Data (industry, location, description, investors)
* Dealroom data (based on your subscription tier)
* Note: Crunchbase and PitchBook data excluded due to licensing restrictions

**Why this matters:** You can now assess company fit and review key data before deciding to add them to your pipeline, keeping your CRM focused on real opportunities.

**How companies become org-relevant:** Companies join your network when you add them to Lists, add Notes/Files, or have interactions with people at the company. Simply viewing a profile does NOT make the company org-relevant.
