# Affinity MCP Skills — the 5 prepackaged capabilities

> The five prepackaged MCP capabilities — Meeting Prep, Warm Intro, Market Map, Data Migration, and Event Setup.

When you connect Affinity over **MCP** to your own AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, and others), five **prepackaged capabilities** — “skills” — come with it. Each is a packaged set of instructions and context that lets your AI client run a whole Affinity workflow from a plain-language ask, without you hand-crafting the prompt. They run via the Affinity MCP tools with **your** CRM permissions; they're separate from the on-platform Ascend agents (which run inside Affinity). Requires **Scale, Advanced, or Enterprise** and the Affinity MCP connected — see [Getting Started with Affinity MCP](/s/article/Getting-started-with-Affinity-MCP).

## The five skills

### Meeting Prep — `affinity-meeting-prep`

Builds a pre-meeting brief for your external meetings from your Affinity data — relationship history, deal context, past notes, and enrichment. *Try:* “Use Affinity to build my morning brief for today's external meetings.” *Note:* the MCP-skill counterpart to the on-platform **Meeting Prep** agent; the skill runs in your LLM client on demand.

### Warm Intro — `affinity-warm-intro`

Finds ranked introduction paths to a target across your firm's relationship data and drafts the outreach on request. It **never sends** — you make the intro yourself. *Try:* “Find intro paths to \[target] and draft the outreach.”

### Market Map (coming soon) — `affinity-market-map`

Builds a market map for a thesis or space — scores matching companies via Affinity's semantic search; you can add companies manually. *Try:* “Build a market map for \[thesis / space].”

### Data Migration — `affinity-data-migration`

Migrates a CSV from a prior system into Affinity — maps columns to your data model, flags fields and dropdown options to create, and imports without duplicates. *Try:* “Migrate this CSV from \[prior system] into Affinity.”

### Event Setup — `affinity-event-setup`

Sets up tracking for an event — creates the lists and fields, sources potential attendees from your network, drafts invites, and tracks attendance. *Try:* “Set up tracking for \[event].”

## Open your AI client from Affinity

At launch you can jump to your connected AI client straight from Affinity: go to **Ascend → Agents** and open the **Affinity MCP** card. It links out to **Open in Claude** and **Open in ChatGPT** and shows a few starter prompts to get going. Connecting the MCP is a one-time setup — see [Getting Started with Affinity MCP](/s/article/Getting-started-with-Affinity-MCP).

## How to run a skill

1. Connect the Affinity MCP to your AI client — see [Getting Started with Affinity MCP](/s/article/Getting-started-with-Affinity-MCP).
2. Ask in natural language. Most clients pick the right skill automatically; you can also name it (e.g. “use the affinity-market-map skill”).
3. Review what it returns — it runs with your permissions, and nothing writes to your CRM without your confirmation.

## Good to know

* **Permission-scoped.** A skill only sees and changes what your own Affinity account already can.
* **Distinct from the on-platform agents.** The Ascend agents (Meeting Prep, Data Update, Warm Intro) run inside Affinity; these skills run in your LLM client on demand via MCP.
* **Availability:** Scale / Advanced / Enterprise, with the Affinity MCP connected.
* With customers who don't use Claude, call these **“prepackaged capabilities built by Affinity, available wherever your team works”** rather than “skills.”

***

*Affinity AI can make mistakes. Review what a skill produces before you rely on it.*
