How to set up Status Triggers
Use Status Triggers to make sure that you and your team members populate certain list-specific fields when list entries move into a certain status.

Click List Options, then click Triggers.

Click the Status Triggers tab, then click Create New Trigger.
- Based on the default "Status" field, select the status option that will trigger the required fields.
- Finally, select which list-specific fields will become the required fields (see What are Global Fields vs List Fields?). Currently, global fields are not available as required fields for status triggers.
Who can create/edit status triggers?
Only the list owner and list admins will be able to implement status triggers for that particular list. To become a list admin, click the Share button to see who the list owner is and ask them accordingly.
Note: Taking these specific actions will not activate Status Triggers:
- Status changes via data imports
- Status changes within the Affinity mobile app
- Status changes within the Affinity Outlook add-in
- Status changes via adding entities to other lists via the Lists column (specifically if you have a status trigger set for the very first status option)
